About Our Team
We are a team of six boys and one girl who attend R. Roger Rowe Middle School in Rancho Santa Fe, California. We are a first year FTC team having two years experience in one of the FTC counterparts, First Lego League. We are all great friends and have a variety of strengths which makes our team unique and well-rounded.
Our school is a veteran in the FIRST programs, participating in FLL since Senior Solutions and FTC Block Party. Our school this year has already hosted two meets. RSF Singularity has two sister teams, RSF Intergalactic Dragons, and RSF Logitechies one of which made it to World’s last year. Each team has built it’s own robot for the First Tech Challenge.
The RSF Singularity are a team of six 7th graders from Roger Rowe Middle School. The first year of robotics was an introductory program at school in 4th grade that got them interested in pursuing robotics. After the introductory year, a group of friends created the team Maze Runners and competed in the FLL. The following year, the team changed the name to Solarcyclers and Kanvar Soin joined the team. This team has travelled through the years of robotics together, adding new members for those that have had to leave. The Solarcyclers moved into FTC with 2 new members. Most members on our team have FLL experience from previous years on other teams. Moving on to FTC from FLL was a very big step for the team and they began this exciting journey by changing their team name to RSF Singularity.
